The Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock (LRHA) is a public body corporate and politic, exercising exclusively public and essential government functions, and having all the powers necessary or convenient to carry out and effectuate the purposes and previsions of the Housing Authorities Act. The Authority is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners which establishes goals, approves policy and budgets, and provides general direction to the LRHA Executive Staff.

LRHA provides publicly assisted housing comprised of traditional public housing, mixed finance sites and Section 8. We currently house more than 8,000 individuals. More than half of our residents live in Section 8 housing located throughout the City of Little Rock. LRHA provides Section 8 residents with a voucher to be used toward their rent; however, private landlords manage the properties.

Our facilities are conveniently located in City Center. An opportunity to develop a brighter future is always our goal.
